In a ceremony that took place at the 2007 CES show in Las Vegas. David Patching (right), Quad's Marketing Director and Jeff Sigmund, President of distribution company Taiga LLC received the award from Editor-in-chief, John Atkinson. The Stereophile awards are hard fought with the loudspeaker category being one of the most competitive. The magazine which represents the interests of high-end audio consumers is regarded as a leading authority for the discerning audiophile. This is not the first time that Quad ESLs have achieved this pinnacle of success. Just a few years ago, in 2002, the predecessor to this new range, the ESL-989, achieved the same critical acclaim.
